Two new maps added. A single player map called "DwarfQuest", and a new Gladiator map called "Erebo". Both are available via BODLoader.

MoriaMod now supports BODLoaderAugust 31st, 2002

The Moria Mod is now available via the BODLoader download menu. Make sure that you get the "TalkSystem" and "Allies" mods, since they are required.

MoriaMod demoAugust 19th, 2002

Certainly one of the mods we've all been waiting for. Download the demo for the MoriaMod (7.3mb). It adds a lot of new things to Blade and is certainly worth the download. If you have questions you can post a message one one of the Blade forums.

New MapFebruary 19th, 2002

Prospero has created a new map called Fugitive. You can download it with BODLoader or grab it from the maps page. You will need the BODLoader update mentioned below.

Is is over 4mb, so be prepared for a long download. Also, since I don't have the bandwidth to support these larger downloads, it is coming off the Blade Forever site. If somone has a US site that can mirror these, I can link to them there and it will save some time for those of us on this side of the Atlantic.

BODLoader update!!!February 19th, 2002

Masklin has fixed a problem in the decompression code when decompressing a mod that has directories. You can use the "Upgrade" option in BODLoader to have it update itself. Just go to the downloads section, scroll through to BODLoader and select "UPGRADE".

If you do it manually, Masklin has created an update program you can get from here.

You will need this update to use the Fugitive map mentioned above.

BOD ForumsFebruary 17th, 2002

I went on over to the forums at the Walthrough-Online site and guess what, they were actually about BOD! I've changed all my links to point to that forum. If you want to see BOD related comments, this is apparently the place to be.

Gladiator Add On updateFebruary 17th, 2002

Shyrka has made some changes to the Gladiator Add On. I've put it in the downloadable list, so you can now use BODLoader to download and install it. Or you can grab it here.

Multi-player how to...December 8th, 2001

I put together a little information sheet on how to play online. Let me know if there is anything else that should go in it.

New look...December 5th, 2001

I reworked the site. Hopefully, this new look is a little easier to navigate. I've only tested it on Internet Explorer. If you run into a problem with another browser, and know what the problem is, let me know and I'll fix it.

Still no word on RebelAct...December 4th, 2001

Still no official word on what has become of RebelAct. Added a logo for the site and rearranged a couple things, woo...

RebelAct closed...November 26th, 2001

Supposedly, RebelAct is closing (or has closed). It's very unfortunate when the company that developed a game like Blade of Darkness can't stay in business. Best wishes to all those at RebelAct...

Masklin let me know that the Spanish speaking community has moved over to the forums on Blade Forever. So, if your bilingual then head over there. (I say bilingual because you'd have to be reading this in English...)

RebelAct where art thou?November 24th, 2001

Well, I haven't a clue as to where RebelAct is. Their forums were down, then their entire site was down. There was a rumor that they had closed, but Juan had said that wasn't true. Then a few days later the site went down. Who knows... The Order of the Sword seems to have been getting most of the English speaking forum members, so if you have a question or want to chat with all the Blade fans, then head on over there.

Heresy V 0.2October 16th, 2001

Dubosky updated Heresy. He also provided an update so that you don't have to download the entire map again. Click here to download the update. BODLoader will download the entire map.

New single player mapOctober 3rd, 2001

Added a new single player map from Dubosky called Heresy.

Playground 0.2September 23th, 2001

I updated the Playground mod. You can now pick which enemies fight eachother, and they fight in the Coliseum.

New MapsSeptember 11th, 2001

A few new maps. 2 single player maps (Vengance and Defender), and 1 new Gladiator map (BCRM).

I've been a little busy, so haven't been able to update the site much or even look at doing mod stuff in Blade. Anyway, sorry about that...

Conquest 2.0July 30th, 2001

Sir Random has updated Conquest and added several new features. Be sure to uninstall and delete the old one before installing this version.

Game Browser Download fixedJuly 20th, 2001

If you had tried downloading Game Browser 0.4 from BODLoader, you will know that it didn't work. I have fixed the download so that it will now install correctly from BODLoader. Can't believe that took me so long.

New Gladiator MapJuly 20th, 2001

Stravos16 has created yet another Gladiator map. This one is called Dungeon, and he says that it should run very well on slower machines. Grab it using using BODLoader or download it from the maps page.

Conquest is ready!July 16th, 2001

Sir Random has finally finished the map we have all been waiting for, Conquest!. It is huge and great fun. Check out the official Conquest site. It is available through BODLoader, so get it and start playing.

4 new maps, and an update!!!July 13th, 2001

Stravos16 has gotten busy. He not only updated Spire, but also created 4, that's right, 4 new maps! Snow, Church, Stonehenge and The Lake are all waiting for your slashing pleasure. Grab them using using BODLoader or download it from the maps page.

Entity Browser from MasklinJuly 13th, 2001

Here is a post from Masklin about his new tool, Entity Browser.

EBrowser is an utility that allows to manage entities easily from the own Blade with a LED style. This tool is for Levels designers and maybe it's not intuitive for users without experience in LED editing. However, all the habitual LEDx user will find into EBrowser an invaluable toy. EBrowser is not limited to placement of objects, it can to assign object properties as breaking or change the parameters of light and fire for the luminous objects. It can also create and move enemies. With an similar interface you can create an enemy with a weapon, a shield and a potion. Finally, EBrowser can export the data of the current object in python and dol format.

Grab it from Blade Resources.

Olympus UpdatedJuly 8th, 2001

Origo has updated the Olympus map. Upgrade using BODLoader or grab it from the maps page.

A new map, from a new mapperJuly 2nd, 2001

We've got a new map from Stavros16. This one is called Spire. Download it with BODLoader or grab it from the maps page. Unless you are afraid of heights...

And another Game Browser versionJune 23th, 2001

Okay, this time I really did it. The new Game Browser will really keep the bogus servers off the list. Older versions of the Game Browser will no longer work as servers, so upgrade today.

New Game BrowserJune 17th, 2001

I've put a new version of the Game Browser up. It now requires BODLoader 0.5 or higher in order to work. Older versions of the Game Browser will no longer work.

Coliseum mapJune 15th, 2001

I finally started using LED and have created the Coliseum that I've always wanted for Gladiator. I'm sure I could make it better, but it is pretty fun as it is. Grab it from the maps page and put feedback on the BOD Arena forums.

Blade ResourcesJune 12th, 2001

Masklin and Lerfox13 have come up with a Object Catalog that is a must for all you mappers out there. It contains a list of every item that you can create with a screenshot, the mmp file, and name of the object. Grab it from Blade Resources.

A new mapJune 12th, 2001

Origo has create a new map for Gladiator called Olympus. Grab it from the maps page, or download it with BOD Loader 0.5.

BODLoader 0.5!!!May 31st, 2001

A new version of BODLoader is ready. It now supports downloading and installing mods and maps directly from the Internet. Once you get this version installed, it is a piece of cake to get new mods and maps, or upgrade when an update is available. It will even upgrade itself.

Grab BODLoader 0.5 now!

After you've installed it, use it get the update to the Game Browser. The new version supports dedicated servers and unregisters when you exit in Arena mode.

Map InstructionsMay 22st, 2001

I added instructions for how to install maps in the Custom Maps link.

Single Player MapsMay 21st, 2001

Just in case you haven't played SlayerDDD's single player map yet, you should do so now. I've changed the Custom Gladiator Maps section to just Custom Maps and started adding links to single player maps. Just one so far, but there are more coming.

Ready to rumble???May 19th, 2001

I got sick of waiting for GameSpy support, so I wrote a game browser. Grab it now, and let's get this show on the road!!! This is a very early release, so it has bugs. Please report anything on the BOD Arena "Other Mods" board (or on the Rebel Act forums).

Also you must realize, that since this is brand new, it will be awhile before the game list has many people in it. But, its a start...

Are we there yet?May 16th, 2001

I moved the site. Lots more room here.

More GladiatorMay 12th, 2001

Put up Gladiator 1.0.3. I figured out a hack to detect the music so you don't have to stop and start it for a new song. I also made it harder after you hit level 20, and fixed a crash bug.

Oops...May 10th, 2001

This is what happens when you have no QA. I seem to have screwed up 2 of the arena maps. Gladiator 1.0.2 is now up with the fixes.

I repackaged the BODLoader with a fixed HeadMatrix from Masklin. I also fixed an install problem that I created with BODLoader. Not an official update, but it is something new...

Gladiator 1.0 releasedMay 9th, 2001

I've released Gladiator 1.0. I fixed a few minor things, and added a couple small features. Check out the Gladiator link for a list of all the changes. Go to BOD Arena if you have suggestions or find any bugs. SlayerDDD was nice enough to setup a Gladiator forum there.

Not sure there is enough things to add to warrant a 2.0 release, but I'll continue adding things here and there as I get time and as you all come up with suggestions.

Have fun...

BOD ArenaMay 7th, 2001

SlayerDDD has setup a new site for the LED Tutorial in a forum format. He has also included a forum for BODLoader and Gladiator among other things. Check out the new BOD Arena.

GameSpy???May 7th, 2001

Still wondering about GameSpy support. I haven't found any information on how to use it yet. Hopefully, we'll get some info soon. I'm dying to go out and get the crap beat out of me by all you guys and gals. :)

I'm working on getting Gladiator to version 1.0. It works fine with the patch, and I'm just adding some finishing touches to it. Should get that up here in the next few days.

US Patch!May 4th, 2001

After a long wait, the U.S. patch is finally out. Here are a couple links where you can get it.

Blade TexturesMay 4th, 2001

Looks like Lerfox13 and Masklin have been busy with textures. If you are a mapper, you have got to check out their site. Go to Blade textures for LED Editing.

I also updated Gladiator to 0.9.5. A very stupid mistake on my part, caused custom maps to start failing.

Thanks Phayyde!May 4th, 2001

Bladex is now shutdown, and will redirect to this page. For those of you who didn't see the post in the forum, Bladex shutdown. Phayyde, who had generously donated the bandwith, time, and effort to create Bladex, needed to move his hosting internally and did not have the bandwith to support Bladex. So I created this page. Anyway, I think we all owe Phayyde a big thanks for hosting and creating Bladex in the first place. Without that, mods may never have started moving the way they did.

Thanks Phayyde!

Itsy bitsy update...May 4th, 2001

Just added and reorganized some links. Separated the LED links from the developement links and created an Other Links page. Also put a link in the MOD section for the editing forum.

While we are all patiently waiting for the US patch, I decided to try the Spanish patch on the US version. It works fine, and I've been using it for the past week with no problems. I have no idea what the holdup is for the US patch, but if you need a fix, try the Spanish patch. It does seem to have GameSpy support but it doesn't look like GameSpy has that turned on yet. Maybe that is what is holding it up?

Waaasssuu... ah, whatever.May 3rd, 2001

With Bladex shutting down, I decided to put a simple site up which contains some information and mods for Severance: Blade of Darkness. Please use the RebelAct Editing Forum for discussions on the mods. Not sure what else I'll get up here, but we shall see...

I've moved some of the content from Bladex, but we are going to be losing a lot of the discussions. This site isn't pretty, and it probably won't ever be, but I'll try to keep some good info here.
